Kuhnkes FIO Safety SDI8/SDO2, sekiz adet güvenli dijital giriş kanalı ve iki adet güvenli dijital çıkış kanalı içeren bir güvenlik I/O terminalidir. Kuhnke’nin FIO serisinden bu genişletme modülü, herhangi bir EtherCAT® ağına kolayca entegre edilebilir. Sekiz giriş, 24 VDC yüzer kontaklar aracılığıyla sensör okumalarını alırken, iki çıkış kanal başına 0,5 A’ya kadar akım 24 VDC aktüatörlere gönderir. EtherCAT terminali bir arıza tespit ettiğinde, güvenli duruma (arıza emniyeti) geçer. Modül, IEC 61508 SIL3 ve DIN EN ISO 13849 PL e gerekliliklerini karşılar.
