Kuhnkes FIO Safety SDI4/SDO2, dört adet güvenli dijital giriş kanalı ve iki adet güvenli dijital çıkış kanalı içeren bir güvenlik I/O terminalidir. Kuhnke’nin FIO serisinden bu genişletme modülü, herhangi bir EtherCAT® ağına kolayca entegre edilebilir. Dört giriş, yüzer 24 VDC kontaklar aracılığıyla sensör okumalarını alırken, iki çıkış kanal başına 2 A’ya kadar akımı 24 VDC aktüatörlere gönderir. EtherCAT terminali bir arıza tespit ettiğinde, güvenli duruma (fail safe) geçer. Modül, IEC 61508 SIL3 ve DIN EN ISO 13849 PL e gerekliliklerini karşılar.
