Dijital Kuhnke FIO I/O modülleri ikili kontrol sinyallerini aktüatörlere iletir ve proses seviyesinden galvanik olarak ayrılmış otomasyon cihazının giriş sinyallerini analiz eder. Kuhnke FIO DI16 / DO16 modülü 16 çıkışa sahiptir, her çıkış 0,5A’e kadar yüklenebilir. Ayrıca modül, 1ms giriş gecikmeli 16 giriş sunar. Modülün birincil ve ikincil tarafları optokuplörlerle ayrılmıştır. Bu galvanik ayırma, çıkışların beslemesinin yalnızca bir güvenlik bileşeni üzerinden kapatılmasını mümkün kılar. Her kanalın sinyal durumu LED’lerle gösterilir.
