Dijital Kuhnke FIO I/O modülleri, ikili kontrol sinyallerini aktüatörlere iletir ve proses seviyesinden galvanik olarak ayrılmış otomasyon cihazının giriş sinyallerini analiz eder. Kuhnke FIO DI8 / DO8 modülü 8 çıkışa sahiptir, her çıkış 0,5A’e kadar yüklenebilir. Ayrıca modül, 5ms giriş gecikmeli 8 giriş sunar. Modülün birincil ve ikincil tarafları optokuplörlerle ayrılmıştır. Bu galvanik ayırma, çıkışların beslemesinin yalnızca bir güvenlik bileşeni üzerinden kapatılmasını mümkün kılar. Her kanalın sinyal durumu LED’lerle gösterilir.
