Dijital Kuhnke FIO I/O modülleri, ikili kontrol sinyallerini aktüatörlere iletir. Kuhnke FIO DO16 modülü 16 çıkışa sahiptir, her çıkış 0,5A’e kadar yüklenebilir. Modülün birincil ve ikincil tarafları optokuplörlerle ayrılmıştır. Bu galvanik ayırma, çıkışların beslemesinin yalnızca bir güvenlik bileşeni üzerinden kapatılmasını mümkün kılar. Her kanalın sinyal durumu LED’lerle gösterilir.
