Kuhnke FIO iletişim modülleri, tüm köklü field bus sistemleri için arayüzler sağlar. Kuhnke FIO CAN Master/Slave modülü, EtherCAT CAN ağ geçidi olarak bir CAN arabirimi sunar. Daha yüksek protokoller CODESYS (CANopen Master/Slave, vb.) tarafından gerçekleştirilir. CODESYS 3’te bu modül bir CAN veri yolu bağlantısını gösterir ve daha fazla konfigürasyon eklenebilir. CODESYS 3 için gerekli tüm bilgileri sağlayan bir cihaz açıklaması mevcuttur. Aygıt sürücüsü (CAN Mini Driver) da gereklidir. Bir kanalın sinyal durumu LED’lerle gösterilir.
